Dua for Starting the Fast (Suhoor / Intention of Fast)

Ramadan fasting is a very special time when duas are highly accepted. The moments of fasting, especially before Iftar and during the night, are considered extremely blessed. Reading sincere duas during fasting helps strengthen your connection with Allah and increases spiritual rewards.

🌙 Dua for Starting the Fast (Suhoor / Intention of Fast)

Translation:
“I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.”

This dua helps you consciously prepare your heart and intention for fasting.

🤲 Dua While Fasting

There is no restriction on what you can ask Allah while fasting. You can make personal duas for forgiveness, guidance, health, and success. Fasting is a powerful time for supplication because Allah is very close to those who call upon Him.

You can also recite:

Translation:
“O Allah, I ask You for Your pleasure and for Paradise.”

🌇 Dua for Breaking the Fast (Iftar)

A famous Sunnah dua taught through the practice of Prophet Muhammad is:

Translation:
“O Allah, I fasted for You, I believe in You, I trust in You, and I break my fast with Your provision.”

Another authentic and widely recited dua:

Translation:
“Thirst has gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.”

🌌 Powerful Dua for Forgiveness (Especially in Last Ashra)

This is one of the most recommended duas during Ramadan, especially in the last ten nights:

Translation:
“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.”

📖 Quranic Dua for Guidance and Mercy

From the Qur’an:

Translation:
“Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us mercy from Yourself.”
